Good staff are the key to our success. We want to keep you informed about
the business and just as important, we want you to have a say in it.

1. Staff Magazine - It’s Your News!
Keeping you up to date on what’s happening in and around the company.

2. Managers Open Forums - Your opinions are important!
A chance for groups of managers to sit down with Tates directors and get to
the nitty gritty! What are the issues? What could be done better? What's making the job harder?

3. Staff Consultation Group - If it matters to you, we want to know about it!

WHAT DOES THE STAFF CONSULTATION GROUP DO?
The group meets 3 times a year and is made up of representatives from all areas of the company. Its purpose is to give all employees a voice regardless of where they work, how many hours they work or what position they hold. Many reps are from stores but there is also a Post Office representative and a Food To Go representative. Tates Managing Director, Human Resources Director and Training Manager also sit on the group. Prior to the meetings each rep contacts colleagues in their store, area and/or dept. to discuss any questions, queries or concerns people have about the company. These are then collected together and raised at the meeting.

WHAT SORT OF THINGS GET RAISED?
Anything and everything to do with the company in areas such as terms and conditions, training, staff benefits, company policies, suggestions for improving areas of the company or just comments on the way we do business. Anything goes!

Contact your nearest rep who will ensure your point is raised at the next meeting. The response will be minuted (Minutes are sent to all stores within 1 month of the meeting).
